On March 1st, the Third Intermediate People's Court of Tianjin and the Tianjin Intellectual Property Court were set up. The newly established Tianjin 3rd Intermediate court will include Binhai New Area, Dongli district and Ninghe district under its jurisdiction.

On March 1st, the Changsha Intellectual Property Court lunched its opening at the Changsha Meixihu intellectual control center.

Changsha Intellectual Property Court will take the following cases under its jurisdiction:
1. civil and administrative cases of first instance involving intellectual property in Hunan Province, including patents, new plant varieties, integrated circuit layout design, technical secrets, computer software, identification of well-known trademarks and monopoly disputes;
2. civil and administrative cases of first instance concerning trademark, copyright, unfair competition and technical contract disputes within the jurisdiction of Changsha;
3. IP-related criminal appeals instituted when not satisfying with the decision of first instance made by the people's Courts of Changsha.
On March 2nd, the Zhengzhou Intellectual Property Court lunched its opening. This is the 15th intellectual property court established in China. So far, all 15 intellectual property courts in China have opened. Together with 3 intellectual property Courts set up in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, they netted a large web for the protection of intellectual property rights in China.

Zhengzhou IP Court will accept IPR-related civil and administrative cases of first instance within the jurisdiction of Henan province involving relevant patent, new plant varieties, integrated circuit design, technical secrets, computer software, and the determination of the well-known trademark disputes involving monopoly, the same cases involving trademark, copyright, unfair competition and contract disputes beyond the jurisdiction of local courts in Zhengzhou; and IP-related criminal appeals instituted when not satisfying with the decision of first instance made by the people's Courts of Changsha.
The 15 IP Courts of China are in Tianjin, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Changsha, Ningbo, Ji'nan, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Hefei, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu and Zhengzhou.
